Reducing valves

The reducing valves available in our offer are advanced devices designed for professional applications. What sets our products apart is their immense reliability and effectiveness in stabilizing and regulating the pressure of fluid, steam, or gases flow. In our store, you can find a wide range of regulators, including a water reducing valve. They come only from proven and respected manufacturers on the market. The offered devices perform exceptionally well in various applications, ensuring complete safety of the installation and other components connected to it. Our reducing valves can also be successfully used for diagnosing and maintaining central heating and cooling systems. They are characterized by a very simple and compact design, which significantly facilitates installation and subsequent maintenance.

Reducing valve – what is it for?

Reducing valves are used wherever it is necessary to stabilize and regulate the pressure of medium flow. This medium can be liquids, gases, or steam. Reducing valves constitute a very broad group of products. Individual models differ depending on their purpose and, consequently, the environment in which they will operate. Among the basic types of reducing valves are water reducing valves, gas reducing valves, and steam reducing valves.

Reducing valve – principle of operation

Reducing valves are utilized to establish and maintain pressure at a specific level behind the valve, regardless of external factors. Achieving this is possible due to the specific construction of reducing valves. They are equipped with a piston, which is loaded on one side by a spring force and on the other side by pressure. When the pressure behind the valve increases, the piston moves to the left, resulting in throttling of the flow of fluid from the pump. As a result, the piston is restored to its equilibrium state. The situation is analogous when there is a decrease in pressure. In such cases, the piston moves to the right and the flow of the medium opens. Proper adjustment of the reducing valve is crucial for its correct operation. If the reducing valve is improperly adjusted, it can lead to unstable and noisy operation, vibration, damage to the internal parts of the valve, and other issues.

Types of reducing valves

Our offer includes professional reducing valves for water, gas, and steam. Each variant differs in construction and intended purpose. Before selecting a specific product, it is recommended to thoroughly familiarize yourself with the information provided by the manufacturers. Proper use of reducing valves is essential to ensure their long and trouble-free operation.

Water reducing valve

The primary function of a water reducing valve is to maintain a constant pressure level behind the main valve. A sudden increase in pressure in the installation could damage it and lead to serious related issues. Pressure fluctuations are most commonly caused by lower demand, such as during the night, as well as damage to elastic elements and connections.

Gas reducing valve

A gas reducing valve is another type of commonly used regulator. Its task is to maintain a constant pressure in various pneumatic installations. When it comes to the operation of gas reducing valves, it is very similar to the operation of other types of regulators. The most significant differences often arise from the materials used, which must be properly adapted to the specific medium transported through the network. A pneumatic reducing valve is a highly advanced device that achieves high efficiency. Individual models can handle different networks. Depending on the working pressure, which can range from 1 to 300 bar, it is necessary to select a device with the appropriate technical specifications for the installation.

Steam reducing valve

Reducing valves are also utilized for stabilizing the pressure of steam. A steam pressure reducing valve reduces its pressure by throttling its flow. The reducing valves for steam offered by us have the capability for fully automatic operation, which is a huge advantage as it can significantly streamline various processes. Additionally, such a steam pressure reducing valve reacts extremely quickly to all changes in the installation, ensuring reliability and full effectiveness in pressure regulation.
