Reducing valve – principle of operation

When the pressure behind the valve increases, the piston moves to the left, resulting in throttling of the flow of fluid from the pump. As a result, the piston is restored to its equilibrium state. The situation is analogous when there is a decrease in pressure. In such cases, the piston moves to the right and the flow of the medium opens. Proper adjustment of the reducing valve is crucial for its correct operation. If the reducing valve is improperly adjusted, it can lead to unstable and noisy operation, vibration, damage to the internal parts of the valve, and other issues.
