Needle Valves
Needle valve is an invaluable tool used to control the flow of various substances. Our range includes diverse models of needle valves, tailored to specific needs. Particularly popular is the stainless steel needle valve, which owes its durability to the use of stainless steel, guaranteeing corrosion resistance. Needle valve for water, essential in hydraulic systems for precise control of fluid flow, is also available in our offer. For the needs of the pneumatic industry, we offer a needle valve for air, enabling precise control of air flow, even with slight pressure differences. We invite you to explore our wide range!
Needle Valve – principle of operation
The principle of operation of a needle valve is relatively simple. Its construction includes a thin, long needle connected to a handle via threads. As the handle is turned, the needle gradually blocks or opens the flow of liquid or gas.
When the handle is fully turned (needle fully retracted), the flow is at its maximum. Conversely, when the handle is fully turned off (needle fully inserted), the flow is blocked. Because the needle has fine, precise threads, it allows for very accurate and delicate flow regulation.
Unlike most types of valves, a needle valve enables regulation even with very small pressure differences, making it indispensable in precise laboratory, pneumatic, or hydraulic applications. Despite its complex construction, needle valves are extremely durable and reliable, which is why they are often used in various industrial sectors.
Needle valve – what is it used for? Applications
Primarily, needle valves are used for regulating the flow of hydraulic oil in control systems, for controlling water flow in cooling or heating systems, and for precise regulation of air flow in pneumatic installations.
The needle valve is also an indispensable component in laboratory equipment, where its ability to precisely regulate the flow of gases and liquids is utilized for conducting precise and complex experiments.
In the petrochemical industry, needle valves are used for controlling the flow of gas and oil, as well as safety devices for isolating specific parts of the system.
It is also worth mentioning that needle valves are often used in high-pressure applications, where their durability and reliability ensure safe and efficient control of substance flow.
Types of needle valves and their characteristics
It’s known that the needle valve is indispensable in many industries. But what are its types? Here are a few examples.
1. Air needle valve
An air needle valve is a specialized device designed for precise control of airflow in pneumatic systems. Thanks to its unique design with a needle, it allows for flow regulation even with very small pressure differences.
2. Water needle valve
Due to its special construction, it enables gradual and precise adjustment of the flow, even with minimal pressure differences. It is used in a wide range of applications, from cooling and heating systems to complex industrial and laboratory installations.
3. Stainless steel needle valve
The stainless steel needle valve is characterized by exceptional durability and corrosion resistance, thanks to its construction from high-quality stainless steel. Its design allows for precise regulation of the flow of various substances, both under normal conditions and in extreme conditions where high resistance to chemicals or high temperatures is required.
